Custom Designed Bathroom

This is our latest custom designed bathroom by Linda Whaley in the Hockessin/Newark area. We would like to thank the homeowners and our staff for all of their effort in making this a beautiful and very functional bathroom and new living area.

This room was a full demolition. This space used to be a laundry room with a shared wall to a tiny powder room. The laundry was moved to the basement. The plumbing lines were relocated for the new bathroom.

Design requirements: An in-law bathroom/bedroom suite that includes an ADA accessible bathroom with spa elements.

Elements used in the design:

• 3' wide toilet area with a Kohler comfort height toilet
• A spacious custom designed shower with roll in and turning accessibility
• Kohler plumbing fixtures with a fixed shower head, Grohe handheld showerhead, glass spray panel, ceramic tile, stone sill, stone seat, niche in knee wall, and shower entry wall
• Enforced blocking in wall for additional grab bars for the future.
• Custom designed vanity with shelves and travertine countertop
• Kohler sink and faucet
• Glass amber pendants, recessed lighting, chandelier
• Pocket door to bedroom access, hinged door to hall access

Removed old window, installed new larger window, casing and sill in new location to bring in more light and the view of their beautiful back yard.

New bedroom also has a pocket french door with new pediment and casing and steps with oak railing.

Attic Conversion

Del Pizzo Construction recently completed a beautiful Attic Conversion. They turned a completely unfinished attic into a fashionable and functional living space. Features of note include:

• Original 20 inch wide staircase opened up
